For better or worse, this is an 80s Brazilian version of “Lolita” with an actual “Lolita.” The plot (I believe–my Portuguese is even more questionable than the material of this film) revolves around a married journalist who falls for a 15-year-old nymphet living next door with her wacky aunt and uncle. While this is a frequent scenario, the actress in these types of films is normally a few years older than her character, which I don’t believe this actress was at the time. Still, this film is far from porno or even a Brazilian “pornochachada” (a softcore sex genre from the 1980s that I’ve grown to enjoy). It’s more of a straight drama, however, for better or worse,
